Socially economic status of municipal object.

Social and economic development of municipal union city-resort Sochi is characterized in 2008 by positive dynamics of development of the basic sectors of economy, and also positive change of the indicators reflecting standards of living of the population.

By a rating estimation of economic development department of Krasnodar region according to the results through 2008 the city of Sochi took 2nd place among all municipal unions through the region.

To the January, 1st, 2009 number of economically active population of a city of Sochi was about 232,3 thousand persons, including the aggregate number of the unemployed — 2,006 thousand persons which was on 25 persons less than in 2007.

Level of registered unemployment in a city of Sochi is one of the lowest among municipal unions of Krasnodar region. For 01.01.2009 the unemployment rate was on 0,25 percent, as well as in 2007.

The number of population occupied in economy increased from 213,2 thousand people in 2007 to 232,3 thousand people in 2008.
At the same time, for the 4th quarter of 2008 898 (741 &3151; in 2007) city enterprises have declared about 37 120 (26 602 — 2007) vacancies.
In the average for 1 unoccupied citizen who has addressed in a placement service for granting a state service for the January, 1st, was 8,4 vacancies, and across Krasnodar territory, 3,2 vacancies.

Workplaces remain to be free because of a small status value and payment, also low qualification of experts.

One of effective forms of assistance in employment and informing on the services given by a placement service are vacancy fairs on working and educational places. Fairs for employers — great possibility to pick up demanded experts by the declared vacancies, to the population — to receive the information on a labor market. In total there was — 68 fairs, from them — 9 Specialized (for women, men and graduates), 26 outdoors fairs in rural settlements, 1 — for graduates (NPO, SPO, VPO) 9 415 persons visited fairs, 467 enterprises of a city took part, 15 725 vacancies were declared.

The maximum size of the unemployment benefit since 01.01.2008 has made 3 124 roubles, minimum — 781 roubles.

For 12 months of 2008 the grant was received by 2006 jobless citizens for the sum of 8,0 million roubles.

For January, 1st, 2009, the number of resident population of a city has increased by the similar period of 2008 on 4,5 thousand and amounts 410,987 thousand persons, include also: in a city line — 341,91 thousand persons, in village — 69,068 thousand persons.

By corresponding period of 2007 was born on 815 persons more, died on 167 more.

The nominal monthly average salary for 2008 on the large and average enterprises has increased in comparison with 2007 on 32,3 % and has made 16779 roubles. Growth of nominal salaries is observed by all kinds of economic activities.

The real added salary has made 116,5 %.

The highest rates of salary increasing are marked by following kinds of activity: wholesale trade, including trade through agents, excepting the trade of vehicles and motorcycles — 201,1 %; manufacture of medical equipment, measuring equipment, optical devices and equipment, watches — 157,0 %; a forestry and service provisioning in this area — 157,0 %; activity of air transport - of 153,8 %; land transport activity — 151,1 %.

There were positive tendencies in dynamics of average number of working population. The increasing rate of average number of working population for 2008 to the level of 2007 through the large and average enterprises of a city has made 102,8 % or other words on 2 650 persons more. The biggest relative density through the total working population occupies the branch of public health services and social service provisioning — 28,6 %, constructing — 13,6 %, formation — 12,1 %, activity of hotels and restaurants — 6,5 %, the government and maintenance of military safety, obligatory social security — 5,9 %.
